Millionaire Aspirations

I've decided I'm going to become a millionaire, I have no idea how or when, but that's my new plan in life, I want to walk into a room and say "hey, I'm a millionaire" :)

I'm thinking about doing the lottery.

With the UK National Lottery there's basically a 14 million to 1 chance of winning the lottery with a random set of 6 numbers.

I could guarantee a win by doing all 14 million sets of numbers, but alas I don't have 14 million spare to try that option.

I wonder how much it would cost if you eliminated the least likely number sets?

You know draws like

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42
etc...

Still even if you could discount those types of lottery draws as highly unlikely it's still going to cost millions to enter all the other possibilities.

So I guess if I really want to a millionaire anytime soon (like my life time) I can't rely on the lottery (big shock there :)).

You know it might be easier to act like I'm a millionaire already, then if I said "hey, I'm a millionaire" in a room of strangers, maybe I'll be treated like one for a while.

I'm at my parents house contemplating baseball tickets

It's 7:42 AM, I just woke up because I had a dream about the Cardinals coming back in their series against the Giants and going to the World Series. I tried to fall back asleep, but I couldn't. Then it suddenly came to me that the World Series tickets go on sale this morning, and that maybe this was an omen, and Mybe I had that dream because it will happen. Maybe I had that dream so I would wake up, buy the tickets, so I could go to the game. Maybe.

A New Life Begins

I don't have one of those, whooop!!-I-just-popped-out-of-my-mama's-whom pictures, but my sister gave birth to a new member of the family last night at 8:15pm. When I spoke with the new mommy this morning she sounded well on her way to a fast recovery.

It's got to be exhausting giving birth, I couldn't imagine it.

My sisiter is in labor right now with her second child

Probably screaming at my mom and brother in-law. I wish I was there video taping all of the chaos.

LOL

I started my last semester of classes today

break for applause

The first day of endless rhetoric by professors trying to intimidate their students with their threats on absenteeism, tardiness, and delinquent work was complimented by me merely staying awake. I figured they at least deserve that, right?

Most of my professors aren't concerned with the students, in fact, they can care less about them. The only reason they teach is to feed their egos and to build their portfolio until they reach tenure. Once tenure is reached it's impossible to bring a professor down to a normal level of communication and understanding. So, here's to a new semester of snobby professors!
